Australian singer-songwriter Sia Furler will soon say goodbye to her career after developing panic disorder and depression which was caused by US gossip blogger Perez Hilton who revealed that she is a bisexual.

Furler had been seeing a neurologist and narrates how horrifying it is to live in the limelight, saying she needs animosity and a "normal job".

"The downsides (of fame) are so overwhelming that, for me, there is no pay-off," she said.

34-year-old Furler adds, "When I was outed by Perez Hilton as bisexual, I suddenly started being asked personal questions, which was really difficult."

"I'd had a relationship with a woman when I was 20, but nobody cared then. As it came out at the same time as my fame, I started to have panic attacks."

Sia is scheduled to release her album, We Are Born, on June 7, 2010, but she now hopes for a simpler lifestyle. She wouldn't need to take any more medications when she's out of the spotlight.

"It's no wonder Britney Spears was diagnosed as bipolar. And Amy Winehouse wasn't doing crack and heroin until she became successful," Furler said.

"Now my dream is to write songs for others, to have a baby, to have a routine.

"I want a normal job. I want to be who I was before all this."
