SimCity: Life 1.7 Update for Traffic, Cheats for Unlimited Water & Limited Edition Content
SimCity has had its ups and (somehow very major) downs, but it seems as though things are going to start looking bright and sunny in the city with the release of its latest update.
Those who have been battling traffic congestion in their cities can rest easy, as EA releases the SimCity update 1.7 which targets intersection traffic issues.
EuroGamer reports that the update brings improvements, such as tuning emergency vehicles to drive in empty lanes for easier traffic, and emergency and delivery vehicles now take priority even on regular lanes, supposedly similar to how they function in real life.
SimCity cheats for water (de)feats
As if the update wasn't enough, those who want to learn the dirty little secrets and cheats can also get a load of them.
IGN reports that water is not a limited resource as you can use the Sewage Treatment Plant to not only take in raw sewage but also purify the water to be usable again.
So what's the simple trick to get infinite water supply? Place a water pumping station right next to your sewage treatment plan. Always use filtration pumps to avoid getting your citizens sick, and you won't have a problem with your water.
Aside from this, Video Games Blogger reports that there are Control + Alt cheats, which you can use on Sandbox Mode (press Ctr + Alt + C to get there).
So you can basically give 100,000 simoleon to the city budget for funds (Alt+W), prevent crimes (ALT+C), do away with air (ALT+A) or ground (ALT+P) pollution, solve the homelessness problem (ALT+H), and grant citizens the gift of health and immortality (ALT+M) in seconds.
Free unlockables for the Limited Edition set
For those who are looking at a Limited Edition pack for SimCity, they can also get a limited edition bonus content.
According to Amazon, there are four main items you can look forward to, one of which are new characters, MaxisMan, the protector of SimCity, The Evil Dr. Vu, and the villain's henchman.
There are also crime waves, wherein Dr. Vu will wreak havoc in the city. The police will have a challenge with the villain, while he sets out his wicked ways. Super Hero HQ sees MaxisMan in the headquarters of your city to protect it from evil. Upgrades include the Turbo Machine garage and the Reticulator landing pad.
Lastly, if there's a super hero HQ, you should expect the villain's lair. If you want to support his crime wave, you can place Dr. Vu's lair in yoru city and let him commit more crimes, or even upgrade his lab and garage for the Evil VuMobile.
