Admitting that he has been a fan of Paula Abdul, British music mogul Simon Cowell said in an interview that he is looking forward to sit with the Abdul in the judging panel for the upcoming reality TV show, “The X-Factor”.

"We've spoken to her, she knows I'm a big fan," Cowell was quoted as saying by The Associated Press at the interview and teleconference for “The X-Factor”. "I've always said at some point we are going to be working together."

Though no names have been announced for the upcoming reality show, having Abdul on the judging panel is a decision not only Cowell has to make.

"I have to take everyone's opinions into account," Simon said, according to AP. This means, that he needs to consider whether he shares the opinion of Paula with the show’s other producers and the network top officials.

"The X-Factor" is expected to begin in fall and the names of the four-member judging panel will be announced next month.

Cowell left American Idol, America’s no.1 reality TV show for “The X-Factor”. The winner of the upcoming talent show will bring home $5 million recording contract with Syco, an enterprise created by Cowell with Sony Music.
