Not wanting to miss one good opportunity, music mogul, Simon Cowell has edged his way over other music executives and has signed up a contract for a relatively unknown ten-year-old, talented Canadian singer, Heather Russell.
Cowell was just enamored by Heather’s talent when he saw her video clip on You Tube, which has recently become an internet sensation for the prowess of her talent in singing.
A visit on YouTube reveals a number of moody clips of Russel performing her music - - one, with her dad while performing Every Step of the Way; two, “She Loves You” while playing the piano and another one, singing, "Beautiful" with no visible accompaniment nor any instrument she was playing. Different forms did they come, the ten-year old Canadian has shown great talents in all of her performances.
Now reaching almost 100,000 viewers, most of her clips were posted on You Tube by her mother, Monica less than a year ago. Russell has in no doubt become another internet sensation overnight. And this has caught the attention of the British mogul.
“Simon just loved her. He said she was amazingly-talented from the first time he saw her,” a spokesman from Syco UK was quoted as saying by Jen BlackBurn of The Sun. Syco is Simon Cowell’s company.
The Canadian sensation not only sings but she also plays the piano and is very good at it, judging by the sound of her music on YouTube.
Heather, described by The Sun as a ‘tiny’ girl, with long blonde hear and a pretty face. She is highly compared to another Canadian pop sensation, Justin Bieber, with whom she had a lot of things in common. Citing Prince, Justin Timberlake and Queen as her influences, Heather is now being hailed as the next Mariah Carey or Alicia Keys.
