It does not happen every day that the terror judge of talent competitions Simon Cowell gets utterly impressed with a particular contestant, or moreover a singer. But it was just recently this week that he was awed by a 17-year-old opera singer during the London auditions of 'Britain's Got Talent.'

Cowell even compared the teenage singer, Jonathan Antoine, to the former star of the show Susan Boyle. There were reports that the renowned judge made a comment as he whispered to guest judge Carmen Electra that Jonathan seemed like Boyle all over again.

As reported by the Daily Star, the operative voice and style of the young man became the first stand out audition piece in the show's first couple of days in London. He further expressed his joy with their recent talent discovery by tweeting this exact post:

"Loving London auditions. Saw a 17-year-old singer who is off the chart good."

Even if the judges suggested that Antoine pursue going solo instead, he has been consistent with not leaving his music partner Jaconelli. He said out loud in front of the Apollo audience that he and his friend came out there to perform as a duo and that as a duo is what he intends to stay for.

All in all it has taken about three years before the 52-year-old judge has found someone that would astound him as much as Susan Boyle back then. Antoine may have looked shy and pretty overweight but his vocals certainly blew everyone away.

And just like Boyle then, the kinky haired teen did not receive much boosting from the audience when he first walked up the stage. The good news though is that he is surely through the next round.
