Simon Cowell's Fiance Leaves His Beverly Hills Mansion
Is Simon Cowell's engagement still on?
Reports on doubts about Simon Cowell's engagement persisted over the weekend as his fiancé, make-up artist Mezghan Hussainy, has reportedly moved out of his Beverly Hills mansion.
Mezghan has reportedly moved into another home also owned by Cowell in Hollywood. This other home has a reputation for being the girlfriend graveyard after Cowell's former lover Terri Seymour moved there after they parted ways in 2008.
One friend told the Daily Mirror newspaper, "It looks like history is repeating itself."
"Some people have jokingly said that this other house is his girlfriend graveyard. It's almost as though the girls get sent there when the relationship has died," added the unnamed friend.
"When Simon split up with Terri she moved into the hillside house for about 18 months before then moving to another pad which Simon is supposed to have paid for."
Mezghan, 38, got engaged to 51-year-old Cowell on Valentine's Day last year.
Early last week, Simon told in an interview with radio DJ Howard Stern he is "not sure" whether he is still engaged Mezghan.
The New Zealand Herald reported Cowell's 86-year-old mother Julie has disclosed she has not seen Mezghan "for months."
Asked about the couple's relationship, she said: "I honestly don't know, I've hardly seen him. I saw him three days last week and he was working constantly, of course, every day in the studio while he was here. I met him briefly for dinner and he didn't discuss anything with me. He's very private, Simon, about his personal life. He won't talk about it, so I'm as much in the dark as everyone else.
"I haven't seen Mezhgan for months - she's been in America all this time and I don't know if she's working or what, because she has her make-up company and is very busy and I've been on holiday, but she hasn't rung me for weeks. Mezhgan used to call me when she first went back to America a couple of times, but she is busy and I'm busy."
The Daily Mail tried to get more details last week but Cowell's spokesperson, Max Clifford, told the press, "Simon was just making it clear he doesn't discuss his relationships."
