Simon Cowell’s First Child with His Best Friend’s Wife
Simon Cowell is apparently set to start a family with Lauren Silverman, who is the wife of one of his best friends, real estate mogul Andrew Silverman. Cowell was seen with Silverman on several occasions, vacationing together while the latter's husband was away.
The celebrity judge seemed knocked for six to know that the gorgeous socialite from New York is pregnant with his child. Cowell is shocked as he thought Silverman was taking care of the birth control part while both of them were enjoying each other's company.
It was apparently another casual relationship for Cowell until the news of the unplanned pregnancy hit the floor. According to sources, Cowell feels deceived with the fact that Silverman is bearing his first child.
On the other hand, Cowell may love to share a slice of his life with the baby. However, when it comes to Silverman, Cowell may have some other ideas. The socialite is going through an ugly divorce while she is pregnant for almost three months now. Andrew Silverman, Lauren's real estate giant husband, was reportedly furious about their relation and filed a divorce on July 15.
According to sources,"Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while. As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close." But, things have moved in favour of Andrew and he may easily get the divorce the moment he proves that the child his wife is bearing is not his. This will help save himself from paying a huge amount for child support every year.
Experts expect an ugly fight in the courtroom. The pregnancy news was conveyed to Cowell days before the divorce was filed. Cowell was apparently not happy with the news at all and expressed his displeasure. He also said that he was not in favour of having a child.
Cowell has always been notorious for his lack of interest in fathering children. However, he was smart enough to seek immediate help from Max Clifford, the PR expert for chalking out a strategy for dealing with the situation.
