‘The Simpsons Tapped Out’ Casino update walkthrough: Getting new prizes, playing mini games and more additions
Casinos, chips and slot machines have come to invade Springfield. The latest update for “The Simpsons Tapped Out” has arrived, and it brings with it a lot of new buildings, purchasable characters and mini games to get players hooked.
The Casino Update: What’s in store?
For the most part, veteran players will love the fact that “The Simpsons Tapped Out” Casino Update will make use of certain characters that did not used to take the front stage in an event. For instance, characters like Princess Kashmir, the Rich Texan and Johnny Tightlips will have corresponding jobs at the casino. Regular characters like Rev. Lovejoy, Principal Skinner, Ned, Apu and Lisa also have their respective jobs in the Burns’ Casino.
For the most part, Homer, Mr. Burns and Smithers will play a role at the beginning of the questline, so for players who are just starting with the program, make sure that these characters are all free.

Tapping on gamblers has a funny animation this time around. Previously, the event NPCs that are tapped will only disappear. When the gamblers are tapped, they instead rush back to where the Burns’ Casino is in the game. At first, this may confuse some players who may be tapping on gamblers only to not see them yielding any event currency.
Already tapped gamblers are usually seen walking faster around the town. They may not always head back straight to where the Burns’ Casino is, so best to look at their movements to see which gamblers still have to be tapped.
Craftables are back!
A staple in most major events in “The Simpsons Tapped Out” is the craftable section. Seasoned “TSTO” players know that these involve collecting the different currencies for the event, so they can craft prizes accordingly.
For the Casino event, players will need to collect casino chips as the main currency for getting the Act prizes, as well as casino coasters, horseshoe keychains, cocktail glasses. This can be done by tapping on the gamblers roaming around Springfield, visiting a friend’s town to tap on the said gamblers, doing jobs at Burns’ Casino and playing Gaming Moe’s, the accessory mini game.
There is a corresponding 10 casino chips for every tapped gambler in the town. At the same time, the other materials needed for crafting can randomly pop up when tapping gamblers. Additionally, tapping gamblers can also yield Tokens, which can be used to play Gaming Moe’s.
Gaming Moe’s is also a good source of currency and crafting materials. For every Token, players will get one round on the slot machine. The prizes in the mini game are mostly dependent on luck. Three matches of the symbols will yield higher payouts of casino chips, with the highest being 400 for three of Barney’s face symbol and the lowest being 20 for two of the beer mugs symbols.
On the off chance that players fail to yield matching symbols, there are still some payouts that are worth the round. Some payouts can be in the form of the courtesy chips or even one or two of the crafting currencies. The great thing about courtesy chips is that they can be exchanged for actual casino chips, which is still a great thing for those who want to get as many prizes or bonus donuts before the end of Act One.
Players should note that some craftables are still locked. This is because the necessary crafting materials, such as the cocktail glass, is still not available during the first act.
Cool ka-ching prizes
As usual, every Act in “The Simpsons Tapped Out” will yield five prizes every time a specific amount of event currency is collected. For this round, players can expect the following prizes: Burns’ Fountain, Impulse Wedding Chapel, Magic Act Milhouse, Britannia Casino and Lucius Sweet. Each prize will also yield some Card Points, which can be used to gain even more prizes.
Most of the prizes that can be gained via the Club Card Points are either tokens, event currencies or some crafting materials. But some major prizes include the Bronze Players Club Tower, the Silver Players Club Tower, the Gold Players Club Tower and the Black Diamond Players Club Tower.
Recently, Electronic Arts has also rolled out an update, which gave regular “The Simpsons Tapped Out” players even more chances of winning donuts and money in the game. There is now a daily challenge, which players will need to accomplish. New challenges open every 24 hours, from which the previous challenge will also not expire. Finishing a certain number of challenges can yield a specific bonus prize.
The daily challenge replaced the usual daily login bonus, where players can either get cash, event currency or the mystery box. Even so, counting this, there are a lot of ways by which players can get bonus donuts.
Players who were able to finish the Monorail Event until the Rail Yard can continue crafting pieces and getting the weekly bonus donuts for completing the stages. The “Where’s Maggie?” game from the previous major event is still ongoing, so players can still get the bonus round of donuts for finding her three times.
“The Simpsons Tapped Out” Casino update still has two more Acts coming up in less than a week. There are a few more prizes and new characters up for grabs, so players should watch out, keep getting hooked and stick with the game until then.
