‘The Sims 4’ free content to celebrate anniversary, Romantic Garden Stuff Pack drums up Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s and anniversaries are in in the air—both in the real world and in the world of Sims. In time with the season, there’s a Valentine’s season pack coming out.
Dubbed as the Romantic Garden Stuff DLC, the new pack will debut in “The Sims 4” come Feb. 9. According to iDigital Times, the pack will have botanical gardens, fountains, marble furnishes to create a park of love. “The Sims 4” players can also enjoy some rose bushes and flowered trails, where Sims can walk around, hand in hand, to enjoy some romantic moments.

There’s a mention of a Fountain of Gluteus Maximus, which is more than just a main fountain for the park. Lovers can sit around the fountain and enjoy the scenery, play with the water like some flirty couples or soap up the fountain so they can have a bubbly fountain.
Even more interesting is the Whispering Wishing Well, which the developer warns players to be careful of their wishes. “The Sims 4” players can use a Simoleon to cast wish. While players can wish for anything, from happiness to a child, the well is notorious for not giving exactly what players want in terms of timing.
The source even delved into the account of SimGuruGraham, known producer of “The Sims” to confirm the main mechanics of the wishing well. It appears that there are nine wishes that one can make, but for every wish, it can go six ways. Specifically, the wishes can be in the realm of romance, wealth, life, academics, promotion, skill, happiness, youthful vigor and a child.
The last one had brought up another question, which is whether this will bring an evil child outcome from the wishing well. Without confirming anything, @SimGuruGraham Graham Nordone only stated that they did not want to ruin the surprise.
Also, since “The Sims” has hit its 16th year as a franchise, the developer is rolling out an anniversary pack to celebrate the occasion. This will bring a couple of new content all for free.
“16 years ago on February 4, the original ‘The Sims’ was released. Since then the franchise has grown and grown, with ‘The Sims 2,’ ‘The Sims 3’ and, of course, ‘The Sims 4,” said the developer over the official The Sims website.

There are four additions to the game with the new update. From the original “The Sims” comes the Tragic Clown painting that will make Sims looking at it feel the Tragic Clown is Tragic Moodlet. There’s the Grilled Cheese Aspiration from “The Sims 2” and the Kleptomaniac Trait from “The Sims 3” to have Sims swiping stuff.
Finally, the NPC Gardener is coming back. He was a requested addition to “The Sims 4,” as his job is to take care of plants after he is called to the Sim’s house. The 16th anniversary DLC update for “The Sims 4” is already out.
