‘The Sims 4’ Get To Work Expansion Pack: New Careers, New Mechanics, New Skills, Control Sims At Work
Windows PC and Mac Simmers can finally take control of Sims while at work with the new expansion pack Get to Work. It also includes new skills such as Photography and Baking plus random visit from Aliens.
‘The Sims 4’ Get To Work Expansion Pack For April 2015
EA will release its first expansion pack for “The Sims 4” next month titled Get to Work adding several new game mechanics, skills and random encounters. According to reports from PCAdvisor and Gamershell, the expansion pack adds three new playable careers for Sims – Doctor, Police Office and Scientist – with the following duties:
- Doctors can spend their days tending patients, performing surgeries and even delivering babies.
- Police Officers investigate crime scenes and interrogate Sims to solve criminal mysteries, and arrest criminals.
- Scientists have the skill to create new inventions, collect rare specimens and apply inventions for good or bad intentions.
Players will get the ability to control Sims while they are at work, see the progress to the next promotion or have them specific related tasks. New in-game items related to new careers will also be included similar to the update that delivered the Bodybuilder and Professional Athlete career paths. Get to Work expansion pack features new skills such as Photography and Baking while random encounters from Aliens.
Current Patch Notes From EA
As of March 10, 2015, the latest software version for the Windows PC game version is 1.4.114.1010 while 1.4.114.1210 for Mac. It features fixes for few crashes for Windows PC and Mac with certain items related to Saint Patrick’s Day or Saint Paddy’s Day. Other technical fixes include:
- Fix for the “failed to load object” error when players attempt to load into a lot.
- Fix for “unrecognised video card” error on NVIDIA GTX 960, 970 or 980 video cards.
- Fix for infinite loading when traveling due to certain world objects like trees or rocks.
- Fix for launching problem “unable to start, initialisation” error on Mac.
- Fix for game crash resulted from a mouse with more than five buttons on Mac.
- Option to change refresh rate in the Game Options for Mac.
Outdoor Retreat is the current game pack available for the game which can be downloaded via Origin client for $24.90. It features the vacation game mechanic, new destination called Granite Falls, camping experience and new Herbalism skill.
