‘The Sims 4’ Mac Version Release Confirmed, New Update Patch To Feature Pools
The success of the simulation game, "Sims 4" is reportedly heading to consoles and it's said to debut with a Mac version. Additionally, fans' clamour for the inclusion of swimming pools in the game will finally be granted through a free downloadable update patch.
Sims VIP previously hinted that "Sims 4" is heading to Mac. At that moment no further details were revealed regarding the version. However, the International Business Times caught up with game producer, Ryan Vaughan, over the weekend during an Electronic Arts holiday preview to get some updates on the release. According to the site, Vaughan confirmed that a Mac version for "Sims 4" is definitely in progress.
"It's something that our players really, really want so that's in the works," he said.
However, Ryan Vaughan didn't reveal further details about the version as it's reportedly "still open for question." The Mac version is apparently still being worked on but there is no release date yet. The producer supposedly said that creators are still adding, "a lot of stuff into the game" and taking a lot of feedback from fans.
As for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of "Sims 4," Vaughan didn't broach further into the topic. However, according to Latinos Post, the people over at the Electronic Arts (EA) can better address this matter. Since the game has been made available on Xbox 360 and PS3, there's reportedly no reason why it shouldn't be released for the eighth-generation consoles.
The success of the simulation game apparently still has its setbacks. Fans have noticed the absence of swimming pools in "Sims 4," which has always been a constant part of the Sims house in previous game installments. However, Sims VIP claimed a major "Sims 4" update will be released in November to address fans' clamour for pool inclusions. A patch will be made available, free to download, from the Origin.
Addressing the pool requests, Ryan Vaughan told IBTimes that players are actually asking for "the ability to drown their Sims." He finds it "impressive" that "Sims 4" gamers could think of such creativity with their Sims' story.
