EA Games released the latest patch version 1.6.69.1020 for “The Sims 4” which contains several major bug fixes throughout the entire game and new stuff for players to enjoy this month. There are also bug fixes specified for the Mac version.

What’s New On This Patch Version?

EA added and changed many things on 1.6.69.1020 patch version for “The Sims 4.” It includes the replacement of the loading screen with a lighter and lively one, removal of the Bunny Egg hunt but whatever rewards remain and more.

- Influence gender of offspring during pregnancy such as eating strawberries and listening to pop music for girls while eating carrots and listening to alternative music for boys.

- New outfit available in the Create-A-Sim mode such as Boba Fett and Darth Maul.

- Full access of Aliens in the Create-A-Sim catalogue.

Major Bug Fixes For The Entire Game

Several bug fixes have been included for crash and freeze such as fix for the crash when using the wall block tool in Build mode, fix a memory leak that keeps too many audio resources loaded in memory and fix for the freeze that happens if two transitions were set to occur on top of another like one Sim is about to travel while the other is entering the Create-A-Sim mode. Of course, there are fixes for general issues included in the patch including:

- Testing cheats are now saved per household.

- Sims with Fresh Chef trait will no longer spoil food.

- Maids are now responsible and won’t be standing around doing nothing.

- Maids will now dress appropriately.

- Tend Garden interaction will now wait in the queue like the rest of the actions.

- Pool lights now illuminate nearby Sims.

- Re-enable super speed 3 is now possible.

‘Get To Work’ And ‘Outdoor Retreat’ Specific Fixes

EA also added specific bug fixes for the latest “Get To Work” expansion pack. These specific fixes are distributed to several gameplay functionalities such as basement ceiling disappearance beneath a pool or fountain, customers browse more often in owned retail lots rather than hangout, less chatty between customers and employees and Sims at their workplaces will not be abducted by Aliens anymore. Game Pack “Outdoor Retreat” also received some bug fixes such as adding a campfire will not break auto-lights and the appropriate motion for Sims playing with the campfire.

Mac Version Specific Bug Fixes

For Mac version of the game, EA Games released three specific bug fixes which are addressed the issue on where zooming in on medium graphic quality settings cause shadows to disappear, addressed the problem of game crash about change the graphics quality to high and addressed the unable to scroll using the mouse wheel inside the game’s options menu.
