The SIMS 4 at Expo
EA announced the attendance of "The SIMS 4" at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on June 10 to 12 and will let gamers get free game demos, exclusive giveaways and pre-orders on-site.
According to PC Advisor, EA will use the said for the official announcement of the release date of the game's fourth instalment. Early reports said that EA plans to officially release the game in fall of 2014 between September and November.
EA and Maxis have been doing every necessary improvement for the next generation of "The SIMS" to make it optimised on low machines and less reliance to online connection for the single-player mode.
Anxious players can now make pre-orders of the two versions of the game from EA Origin Store.
Steelseries Immersion Gear
EA and Steelseries have joined forces to create an immersion gear for "The SIMS 4" players. They claim to produce peripherals such as a headset and a mouse that features an illuminated plumbob which lights up, changes colour and pulsates depending on the emotions of the player's Sim.
"The SIMS franchise has some of the best fans in the world and we wanted to enhance their experience to allow them to immerse themselves even further into the game. The SIMS 4 is centred around on our new SIMS and their emotions and we believe that players will feel even more connected with the game as their peripherals reflect the mood of their SIMS," according to VP of The SIMS Studio Rachel Franklin, quoted by IGN.
Players can purchase "The SIMS 4" headset for $40 each while the mouse costs $30 with micro-fibre surface mouse pad for $15.
MAC Support Delayed
Maxis planned "The SIMS 4" to become available in lower machines and Windows and MAC OS platforms. However, there is no clear point when a MAC version will be released and it may not be at the same release date for the Windows version.
In May 2013, the company confirmed the support for both Windows and MAC computers of "The SIMS 4." However, the game from Origin Store is only available for Windows computers and no announcement or mentions regarding the MAC variant.
Additionally, EA has not yet confirmed any details regarding the MAC OS support type and players should check out the game's attendance at the expo for possible announcement.
