British singer and former military army officer, James Blunt has confirmed in a broadcast interview Monday that he is playing for engaged Royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The Agence France Press said that the multi-awarded British artist will be playing the organ at the Westminster Abbey on April 29.
"I'm actually playing. I'm not singing, I'm playing the church organ there," the AFP quoted Blunt telling Italian news channel, SkyTG24 in Italy.
Blunt was interviewed at one of the pitstops of his concert tour in Italy following the release of his album, “Some Kind of Trouble”.
The singer propelled to fame with his first album, “Back to Bedlam” (2005) including the hit singles, “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover”.
Before the multi-awarded singer was heard over the airwaves, he was serving the Life Guards regiment of the British Army and had served under NATO in Kosovo’s 1999 conflict.
Blunt has two BRIT and two Ivor Novello awards to his credit.
