Sir Roger Moore, the former James Bond actor and knighted celebrity, has nothing but praise for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their tireless efforts helping different causes and charities.

According to a report, the actor and UNICEF ambassador met the royal couple during their visit to Copenhagen. The actor was amazed at how Prince William and Kate Middleton make sure to extend their efforts when it comes to aiding food-stricken areas in Africa.

The famine in East Africa has affected more than 13 million people, and the royals made sure to do their best in helping because of personal reasons rather than being obliged. The couple claims Africa is "close to their hearts" because they stayed in a cabin in Kenya back in 2010.

"They are both very interested in East Africa, it's so close to their hearts," said Moore in a report by the Daily Mail. Never has a celebrity with Moore's status said anything about the efforts of the Duke and Duchess, and it's amusing to know that he believes that goodwill is in the hearts of everyone, royal or otherwise.

"It was just reiterating their passion for this cause and I think it must be a passion otherwise the royals wouldn't just give up a day of their very busy lives and the high demands there are on them for attending all sorts of functions and that's apart from the RAF duties of the duke," added Moore.

The actor compared the royal couple's efforts to Princess Diana's, whose legacy of charitable work extends up to this day.

"I think comparisons are odious but [Diana] did wonderful things in bringing the world's attention to the danger of landmines and I think that their royal highnesses are showing an equal interest," said Moore in the same post.
