Slayer Christmas Light Show Featuring ‘Angel of Death,’ ‘War Ensemble,’ ‘Hell Awaits,’ Tribute to Fallen Guitarist Jeff Hanneman
Forget the Christmas Carols, Slayer's blasphemous carols are here to stay. The cool quotient rises when a diehard Slayer fan worked on the best Christmas light show and presented through his YouTube channel. The entire light show is a tribute to late guitarist Jeff Hanneman. The light show feature a medley of Slayer classics including, "Raining Blood," "Angel of Death," "War Ensemble, "New Faith," and of course "Hell Awaits."
Santa, you can go berserk because one of the homes that you are planning to visit will metal the hell out of you. Stock up some leather, practice those air-guitaring moves and solo with the "King."
Slayer Bob is the man who created this masterpiece and synced it with the lights. He is renowned for Machine Head show in 2011 and Metallica Light Show in 2012.
The video features two demonic snowmen headbanging to "Angel of Death," an elf playing the drums, Santa Claus himself replaces Kerry King for this ultimate Christmas medley. The tree illuminates light and shapes up like a guitar. During the song, the tree reads, "Bang your head," "Merry Metal Christmas," "Slayer," and "Hanneman."
"THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MONTHS PREPARING THIS,MY WIFE HATES ME,AND I HAVE A FEW MORE GREY HAIRS..HOPE IT WORKS," wrote Slayer Bob.
"I worked the entire year on Christmas displays all over the U.S. I had planned on bringing you new bands this year, but [due] to the passing of Jeff Hanneman, I had to do one last Slayer tribute. With the time that I had, I was able to create this light show. This one goes out to all the fans of Metal, and especially Jeff," added Slayer Bob.
Would like to have a metal Christmas this year and invite Santa Claus for some moshing or that Wall of Death thing?
Anyway, have a Metal Metal Christmas!
