"Sleepy Hollow" has got the attention of the viewers and doing great at the viewership count. The new episode "John Doe" promises to provide an edge of the seat, thrilling entertainment, with Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) getting infected by a fatal disease that the modern science of the 21st century does not recognise.

The new episode of "Sleepy Hollow" features a kid who belongs to another time and carries a secret, affects of which can be apocalyptic. The kid speaks a language that was spoken in the middle-ages and only Mr Crane has heard it before.

According to the sneak peek of "John Doe," the veins of the boy are turning black. Melissa Blake, writer and producer of "Sleepy Hollow," says in the sneak peek: "the little boy is plagued by a disease that our modern science does not recognise."

Everyone is at risk at the Village of Sleepy Hollow and Sleepy Hollow had to be quarantined. Blake says that no one is able to identify what it is - as it is not in the database -- and how it is being spread.

It is a "medical mystery" that is turning out to be a "curse," Roberto Orci, executive producer of "Sleepy Hollow," says in the sneak peek.

The sneak peek of "John Doe," provides a glimpse of Mr Crane's veins also turning black and he being taken away, forcefully. In the promo, Katrina (Katia Winter) could be heard screaming, "fight for your life."

"When an unidentified boy is discovered in Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane and Lt. Abbie Mills are called to the scene. After speaking with the child, they immediately realize that something sinister and sickly is afoot and the duo go on a hunt to discover his home and origins - and are shocked by what they find in the all-new "John Doe" episode," according to the synopsis of "Sleepy Hollow" Episode 5.

Fox has picked-up "Sleepy Hollow" for the second season, consisting of 13 episodes.
