Sleepy Hollow Season 2 to ‘Explore Idea of Villain’ and Introduce New Characters [SPOILERS]
Roberto Orci, co-creator of "Sleepy Hollow," has said that the new season of "Sleepy Hollow" will explore the idea of villain. Also Season 2 is set to introduce new characters, including a historical figure.
The Season 1 finale revealed that Henry is the second Horseman of Apocalypse. Adding to that shock was the revelation that Henry, the second Horseman, is also Jeremy, the son of Ichabod and Katrina.
"Sometimes you get a villain and they're just a villain. In this case, it happens to be Ichabod Crane's son and Katrina's son. What role did they really play in making him a villain? Can this villain be redeemed in some way? Do we want to redeem him?" Orci said to SheKnows Entertainment.
The new season will introduce new characters, both from the human world as well as supernatural. Orci revealed to SheKnows that one of the characters is called Nick Holly. Holly is an antique dealer who has been all over the place.
"... through him [Holly] we're going to start to see how different religions and different myths start to overlap a little bit -- how a lot of the stories we tell ourselves maybe have common origins," Orci said.
Orci said that the premiere episode will introduce Benjamin Franklin. He is going to feature "prominently" in Episode 1 of "Sleepy Hollow" Season 2. And, he is expected to play a big role in the new season.
Meanwhile, one of the new creatures that will be introduced is 'Kindred'. According to Orci, this character is a "doppelganger" to the Headless Horseman. Orci said to SheKnows, "Our heroes realise possibly one way to battle a monster is to create a monster of their own that they may or may not be able to wield or trust. We've got a very wicked twist on the Pied Piper this year as well."
As previously reported, the Season 2 of "Sleepy Hollow" consists of 18 episodes. It is scheduled to premiere on September 22, 2014.
