It is raining spoilers when it comes to "Sleepy Hollow" Season 2. Abbie is not returning from the purgatory soon and when she returns, it will not be back to normal between her and Ichabod. The question of trust will arise between them.

In the freshman season finale, Ichabod had left Abbie behind in the purgatory, promising that he will come back for her. He had left with Katrina. Out of the purgatory, Katrina and Ichabod learned that Henry is their son Jeremy and also the second horseman of apocalypse. The headless horseman took away an unconscious Katrina on his horse, while Henry interred Ichabod.

TV Guide has reported that Ichabod and Abbie's relationship will probably not be at the best place. Abbie will not be happy about being left behind.

"There's a real question of trust," Len Wiseman, executive producer of the show, said to TV Guide. "If it's ever broken once, can you ever get it back again?"

According to the report, Abbie and Ichabod's relationship will continue to be tested in the upcoming, new season, as they will confront a difficult choice.

Meanwhile, TV Line has revealed that a new hunk will be introduced in Episode 6 of "Sleepy Hollow" Season 2. He is the son of late Sheriff Corbin. The report has described the character as a "well-built, all-American Marine carrying a big chip on his shoulder."

In addition to this hunk, a dame will also be introduced in Season 2. She will have a past-history with Ichabod. According to TV Line, a character called Mary Wells will make an appearance as Ichabod's old flame from England. The report has described the character as someone who seems "sweet" and "pleasant" but has a "darker side." Mary will be "flighty, moody and prone to fits of extreme jealousy." Heather Lind is playing the role of Mary.

"Sleepy Hollow" returns on September 22, with 18 new episodes of the new season.
