"Sleepy Hollow" is one of the rare newbie hits of the fall season. The mystery-adventure series is the modern day, T.V adaption of Washington Irving's 1820 short story: "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The first season of "Sleepy Hollow," which premiered on September 16, 2013, is heading towards its finale, with only three episodes left to air.

In the previous episode, "The Golem," Ichabod Crane gets to meet his wife, Katrina. The Sin Eater, Henry Parrish, helps him meet his wife and find the fate of his son. Ichabod finds out what happened to his son, and how he and Abbie have a much deeper connection than they thought. In the upcoming, new episodes, the audience will get to see Ichabod's father. TV Line reports that Victor Graber will portray the role of Ichabod's father.

Citing Ken Olin, executive producer of "Sleepy Hollow," TV Line had reported that Abbie and Ichabod will be in deeper trouble before the first season wraps-up. It is expected that a horsemen of the apocalypse will be introduced. TV Line has also indicated that George Washington is likely to get his first "significant showing" in of the upcoming episodes of Season 1.

The past episodes have revealed that Captain Irving has a dark secret of his own. Talking about Abbie's boss character, Olin said to TV Line that "choices are going to be made that involve potentially huge sacrifices."

He added: "Not only are Irving's relationships with Crane and Abby really put in jeopardy, but his entire career is put in jeopardy based on trying to protect people that he cares about."

Henry will return in two of the episodes that are scheduled to air in January, according to a Huffington Post report. "He's definitely in the finale," said Mark Goffman, show runner of "Sleepy Hollow" to Huffington TV.

Fox has renewed "Sleepy Hollow" for a second season. Like the first season, the second season will also consist of 13 episodes. The eleventh episode of "Sleepy Hollow" Season 1 will air on January 13, 2014. The season finale will be a two hour long episode.
