Sneak Peek: ‘Iron Man 3’ Teaser Trailer Revealed [PHOTOS & VIDEO]

"Iron Man" has become one of the highest grossing superhero films of all time. So, it would be a waste for all the producers not to make a third installment of the "Iron Man" franchise.

The anticipation for the "Iron Man 3" movie levels up as the teaser for the film is revealed. Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow are back again on the big screen with the third installment of the superhero film "Iron Man."

Robert will once again embark as Tony Stark, the charismatic billionaire turned superhero. Together with him is Gwyneth Paltrow who plays as Pepper Potts, the love of his life.

In the teaser trailer, it looks like that Tony will be on a quest to rescue Pepper when she was taken hostage by a mystery villain. In a clip, Gwyneth looks terrified as she grits her teeth while captured.

What happened to Pepper or who took her is yet unclear, but it has been revealed that the newest villain will be seeking to bring havoc to Tony's personal life as well as his metal alter ego.

According to an official synopsis of "Iron Man 3," Tony is rumored to head to China to face his biggest opponent, Mandarin.

"Marvel Studios' Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible," another statement revealed.

"This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?" said in the post.

"Iron Man 3" will be set for release on May next year.
