SOA Body Count Map: The Life And Death In ‘Sons of Anarchy’
Made by a fan for SOA fans, the "Sons of Anarchy" body count map is now available for everyone who wants to go back and reminisce the good old times in the fictional town of Charming. Featuring the well-documented body count and illustrations of Armin Vit and Taylor Goad, "A Graphic Registry of Life & Death In Sons of Anarchy" is a spreadsheet for fans who wants to know who killed whom in the show's epic seven seasons.
Intrigued by the show's increasing death toll, SOA enthusiast Armin Vit turned his fascination to the show into a "bloody infographic" for his fellow fans who followed the show for 7 years. Working alongside with Goad, a talented illustrator who produced the SOA map, the Under Construction's network design blogs founder compiled and sculpted the death details into a comprehensive work of art.
"By season six, pretty much every different gang or club or organization had been involved in either a feud or a loving relationship but they still all killed each other, regardless of race or gender," Vit told fastcodeisgn.com about his idea of the map. "I didn't want to celebrate the multiple killings gratuitously but I thought it would be interesting to visualize just how tangled and complex these were."
The chart features 170 characters of the show and based on the map, around 110 died at the end of Season 7's finale, including Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) taking in "Papa's Goods." The show's memorable deaths include the murder of Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst) and Tara Knowles (Maggie Siff) by the end of Season 6, which made the SAMCRO president went into a killing spree by the start of Season 7.
Meanwhile, What Culture compiled the number of murders made by SAMCRO and it's a whopping 175 deaths including the murders made by the club's prospect. Out of 175, Tig (Kim Coates) managed to accumulate 28 dead bodies, while Jax Teller has the blood of 46 men, including the lives of two SOA lead stars, Gemma Teller (Katey Sagal) and Wayne Unser (Dayton Callie).
Vit's "A Graphic Registry of Life & Death In Sons of Anarchy" is now available for $30. The 18 x 24 inch SOA map can be ship in tube via USPS.
