Real Madrid President Florentino Perez said Cristiano Ronaldo is the best football player in the world right now, adding there's more to come from the prolific Portuguese goal scorer.

With speculation about Ronaldo's possible return to Manchester United hovering, Perez immediately quashed these rumours and insisted that Ronaldo is going to spend the remainder of his career with Real Madrid.

"He is the face of the team and the best player in the world," Perez told Gol Caracol on Friday. "He is going to give us much more satisfaction for his talent, ambition and enthusiasm; and now he has reached a perfect relationship with the fans.

Ronaldo, who's entering fifth season with the Spanish La Liga ball club, has been in stalemate with Real Madrid in their contract negotiation. There are several league sources indicated Ronaldo is already growing tired of the process and leaning towards bolting out of Bernabeu when his current deal expires.
