‘Sons of Anarchy’ Charlie Hunnam Death Hoax: Twitter Reactions
Another victim of an internet death hoax is "Sons of Anarchy" lead star Charlie Hunnam who is currently in production for the FX biker drama series seventh and final season. The hoax was confirmed as a complete fraud on Star Magazine's June 2014 report and the actor is just the latest victim in a string of fake celebrity death reports.
The death rumours gained traction on Tuesday after a "R.I.P. Charlie Hunnam' Facebook page attracted nearly a million of "likes" with believable evidence for the actor's demise on the site's "About" page. The page reads: "At about 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday (June 17, 2014), our beloved actor Charlie Hunnam passed away. Charlie Hunnam was born on April 10, 1980 in Newcastle upon Tyne. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page."
In a matter of minutes the page was filled with fans messages of condolence, expressing their great sadness of the actor's passing. But some avid fans questioned the post with so many death hoaxes looming around the net, while others were immediately skeptical since the news is not on a major newspaper and network.
Best known for his role in a summer blockbuster hit "Pacific Rim," the British star is alive and kicking based on the recent report of Daily Mail. Hunnam was spotted completing a day of filming on Tuesday, June 17, and was photographed looking so happy as he enjoys an easy-going ride in the streets of Los Angeles wearing a bright windbreaker and scuffed up trainers.
Before he left the SOA set, the 34-year-old actor was approached by some female fans for a photo and the star was happy to oblige to pose for some snaps while straddling on his bike. Playing Jax Teller's ex-wife Wendy, Drea de Matteo is also in the set as the show's newest regular actress as she reprise her role now that Tara is dead.
