‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 7, Episode 5: ‘Some Strange Eruption,’ Everything To Know [VIDEO]
After an explosive episode 4, FX "Sons of Anarchy" returns to the small screen with another violent episode, "Some Strange Eruption." Biting off more than he can chew, SAMCRO's president Jax Teller, played by Charlie Hunnam, is making his MC a target of Lin Triad and August Marks as he vowed vengeance for his wife's brutal demise.
In Tuesday's episode, Nero is doubting the Triad's involvement in Tara's murder with a short episode 5's synopsis, "looking for the source of a betrayal leads to violence at the Stockton Ports." Thanks to Gemma (Katey Sagal) who fabricated the lie to cover her tracks, now the gang is facing more enemies than before with Lin killing all the girls at Diosa Norte.
"We really begin to see the ramifications of Gemma's lie-not just impacting the club, but impacting Charming, impacting the community at large," series creator Kurt Sutter revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "One of the things I'm very conscious of is, as pulp and as absurd as this show can be sometimes in the violence, that it never happens in a vacuum. We always see the ramifications. That's definitely the case with Diosa."
The tattooed showrunner also teases that what happened on episode 4 is a game-changer for Nero (Jimmy Smits) and the incident will push him to do something that he will regret. Thinking of getting himself out of SAMCRO, Nero is has been struggling on his exit strategy and he has to make a decision as the body count increases in Charming.
Amidst the chaos and the violence, Jax and Charming's new Sheriff (Annabeth Gish) will have an intense conversation as she tries to convince Jax to help her bring justice to what happened during the massacre. At this point on the show, Jax clearly knows that he needs to play it smart for his gang to survive for the Chinese retaliation. Giving Jarry the intel will help them get what they want without losing more people.
Meanwhile, Sutter assures fans that Juice (Theo Rossi) is not the club member who will die on the upcoming episode of the show. But big things are going to happen in the troubled SAMCRO member around episode 6 or 7. Emmy nominee Walton Goggins is slated to return to the show as the Venus Van Dam in episode 10.
"Sons of Anarchy" Season 7, episode 5 is scheduled to be aired on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 10 P.M.
