Known for her role as SAMCRO's matriarch in FX biker gang drama series, "Sons of Anarchy" star Katey Sagal believes that her character is not a psychopath after killing her son's wife. Drea de Matteo who plays Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) ex-wife Wendy believed that Gemma's dark secret will remain as a dark secret until the show's finale.

After the season 6's finale, Jax turned into a Grim Reaper thanks to Gemma who pointed the blame in Lin's Triad gang. Season 7's "Greensleeves" featured the grandmother of two panicking as she was summoned by Jax to the cabin only to find out that she is helping the gang convince a drug addict.

The thought of you Juice ratting on her is her greatest nightmare and she will do anything to keep de the truth from her son, who still mourning from his wife's brutal death. But de Matteo revealed recently that she totally gets Gemma's decision on keeping the secret from Jax and letting him know the truth will not do any good.

"You sort of have an understanding. When she tells Juice - he asks 'how do you do it,' and she explains to him why and how, it makes sense," the "Sopranos" star exclusively told Hollywood Life. "You almost don't want Jax to know, because it really would just cause everyone to go really into the trenches, to the depths of hell. So her protecting him in that way makes sense to me, strangely enough. It's not right."

When she was asked if Gemma would tell Wendy the truth, the actress told the publication that her character will surely fears for her life as Gemma tried to kill her once. Now that Wendy is back in Abel's life, she will do anything to protect Jax's two sons from their unstable grandmother.

This week's episode ended with Abel knowing that truth about his mom's death, the first person on the show to know the real truth. Abel overhearing Gemma's confession while she was talking to Thomas is one of the many twists on the show's final season as Kurt Sutter sends its fans to SAMCRO's final ride.

"Sons of Anarchy" season 7, episode 8 returns to FX on Tuesday, October 28 at 10 pm.
