‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 7 Spoilers: Final Cast Revealed!
With the wrapping up of Season 6, "Sons of Anarchy" upcoming season finale is still months away but series creator Kurt Sutter teases fans with some MC drama tidbits. Based on Sutter's recent video blog "WTFSutter," the show runner is already lining up his final cast for SOA's Season 7 ahead of production.
The outspoken SOA creator recently discussed the state of "Sons of Anarchy" Season 7 with his writers and revealed the names of the cast who will be coming back for the series finale. Lead actor Charlie Hunnam will reprise his role as SAMCRO's prince Jax Teller and Sutter's real life wife Katey Sagal will reprise her role as Jax's mother and SAMCRO's matriarch Gemma Teller.
Gemma's lover Nero Padilla played by Jimmy Smith will return for Season 7, including Peter Weller who plays Charles Barosky. Tyne Patterson played by CCH Pounder is going to return for a limited screen time as she recently signed on for the pilot episode of NCIS: "New Orleans." Depending on the NCIS spinoff, the future of CCH Pounder is still in question.
Lead characters like Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz played by Theo Rossi, Robert "Bobby Elvis" Munson played by mark Boone Junior, Filip "Chibs" Telford played by Tommy Flanagan and Alex "Tig" Trager played Kim Coates are definite go.
Based on other spoilers, Kim Dickens who plays Collette Jane will probably limit her screen time with SOA as she recently signed on for a new series "Backstrom." With filming to begin anytime soon, Sutter is looking for more time for FX to tell the unfolding story behind the MC drama and is pushing to have a longer time per episode.
After "Sons of Anarchy" Season 7, Sutter is also brewing a SAMCRO prequel that will tell the story of John Teller, the man behind the Charming Motorcycle Club.
"I've had discussions with the network about it, and I think they are open to it," says Sutter in an interview posted on People. "I think there is something really interesting about the origins of the club. And to do a period piece set in the '60s, post-Vietnam could be kind of cool. I don't think we would dovetail and start right after the series ended, but it's something I'm potentially excited about it."
