In production for its seventh and final season, FX "Sons of Anarchy" released a haunting black and white poster featuring lead star Charlie Hunnam and his ominous skull tattoo. To promote its upcoming season premiere, the SOA finale poster was posted on the show's Twitter account on Aug. 1, Friday, with the following caption: "The Final Poster. The Final Season. The #FinalRide begins 9/9/14."

Best known for his biker gang role as Jax Teller, Hunnam was featured in the show's season 7 poster with his back on the camera showing off an image of a superimposed skull and a handgun tucked into the back of his jeans. Not sporting his usual "Sons of Anarchy" Grim Reaper tattoo that he had throughout the six seasons of the show, the new ink signifies the dark days the will come as Jax vows vengeance for his wife's brutal murder.

"The ominous clouds in the background certainly don't help to paint a rosy picture of the future for Teller and his motley gang of bikers," CBS News reports. "Season 7 of the hit FX drama series will pick up following the death of Teller's wife, Tara (Maggie Siff), at the hands of his mother, Gemma (Katey Sagal)."

Hunnam will have a tough season ahead of him as he turns into a Reaper in SOA season 7. "This season will be the most proactive for Jax," Kurt Sutter revealed. "He's driven, with a singular purpose. Rather than being a reactor to chaos, he will be the inciter. It's almost like a writing a brand new character."

While busy filming for the show's finale, Charlie Hunnam together with Dayton Callie (Wayne Unser), Kim Coates (Tigs) and Theo Rossi (Juice) took some time off to attend a charitable event in Los Angeles on Saturday. Dressing like his character Jax, the 33-year-old Hollywood hunk attended the event wearing a black and white checked flannel with his signature biker scruff.

The "Pacific Rim" star completed his look with pair of blue jeans, leather belt and his blond locks combed back just like his TV alter-ego. Hosted by "Sons of Anarchy," the Boot Bash event is for the benefit of The Boot Campaign, which provides assistance to American military personnel.
