‘Sons of Anarchy’ Series Finale: Katey Sagal Chops Her Blond Locks As She Says Goodbye To Gemma Teller
Known for her legendary role as "Sons of Anarchy" Gemma Teller, Katey Sagal shed her blond highlights and let go of her leather outfits as she sported her natural look on Monday, Dec. 22. Ditching her tough chick look on TV, the "How To Date My Daughter" star is unrecognizable with her newly brunette locks and vintage-inspired looks.
The Hollywood actress was spotted shopping for the holidays in Los Angeles wearing a mid-length dress revealing her ankle tattoo - "a coming of age gift to herself when she turned 50," according to Daily Mail. She also sports a make-up free face with her glasses and a slouchy bag as she ran errands around the city.
The mother of four ended her seven-year run with "Sons of Anarchy" when her character was killed by her own son, Jax Teller, played by British actor Charlie Hunnam. Now that she is shedding her biker chick look, the veteran actress is gearing up for another wild ride with husband Kurt Sutter for his upcoming new series "The Bastards Executioner."
The actress revealed her involvement with Sutter's new project during a press conference and said, "'I'm going to be in it. We don't know in what capacity yet, because he's just starting to work on it. But that's where we're going. I will definitely be involved with it."
Meanwhile, SOA executive producer and director Paris Barclay is teaming up with Sutter for another wild ride in television. Barclay is scheduled to direct and produce "The Bastards Executioner's" pilot episode while the tattooed showrunner is going to produce the series together with Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.
Barclay and Sutter's creative relationship go way back during "The Shield" days when the "Glee" director directed three episodes of the show. He also directed 15 episodes of "Sons of Anarchy" and sat on Sutter's behalf when SOA creator was recuperating from his recent surgery.
Based on walesonline.co.uk, the medieval show might be filmed at Swansea, Wales as it features a knight with a vendetta under King Edward III's reign. The upcoming FX series is slated to premiere in the fall of 2015.
