‘Son's Of Anarchy’ Star Charlie Hunnam In NYC, New Movie ‘Crimson Peak’ In Pre-Production
"Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam is braving the cold in New York City when he was spotted roaming the Big Apple on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Bundled up while taking a stroll, the English actor was all smiles as he is currently in pre-production for his upcoming movie, "Crimson Peak."
Early this week, the actor was spotted in Beverly Hills, Calif. while doing some shopping as he took a time off from filming the upcoming season finale of 'Sons of Anarchy." Hunnam plays Jackson "Jax" Teller in the hit TV series, a show about a motorcycle club in small fictional town in California.
On its last season, "Sons of Anarchy" is wrapping it up for Season 7 and Charlie Hunnam's character will have a major emotional turn after his wife was brutally murdered by his own mother. When asked how it felt to play a character with such conflicted emotions, Charlie revealed: "In a nutshell, it's a dream come true, to be given a character like this. When I met Kurt and read this script, initially, I was at a really low period of my career."
"So, it was a really difficult time for me, and I just had this burning desire to do some of the type of work that I'd always dreamed of doing. Then, Kurt's script came along and it just blew me away," the 33-year-old actor said.
"Crimson Peak"
Set for release in April 2015, "Crimson Peak" is a gothic romance horror film about a "young author Edith Cushing who discovers that her charming new husband is not who he appears to be."
"Avengers" Villain Loki played by Tom Hiddleston will play Edith Cushing husband and Hunnam is set to play a shy guy who is madly in love with the female hero. Directed by Guillermo del Toro, the movie stars Mia Wasikowska as the female lead, Jim Beaver, Burn Gorman and Javier Botet.
The movie is set in the crumbling mansion in Cumbria, a mountainous county in North West England in the 19th century. "Crimson Peak" will start filming in Toronto on Feb. 10 to May 14 and will be released in the first quarter of 2015.
"But basically what it is is a really, really, almost classical gothic romance ghost story, but then it has two or three scenes that are really, really disturbing in a very, very modern way. Very, very disturbing, it's a proper R rating. And it's adult," Director Guillermo del Toro said.
