Kurt Sutter, the man behind FX's biker drama series "Sons of Anarchy" recently revealed in an interview with Larry King that the character he felt most connected with is Chief Wayne Unser. Played by Dayton Callie, Sutter sees himself in Unser and not with his Otto Delaney character.

Charming's chief of police, Unser as what everybody calls him is a corrupt law enforcement who deals with SAMCRO whom he sees as a benefit to the town. Since "Sons of Anarchy" helps keep Charming drug and violence free, the police is not minding their business with guns and pornography.

An ex-US Marine who served during the Vietnam War, the 50-year-old police officer is also a businessman who owns a shipping and trucking company. Currently suffering from cancer, Unser fathers two daughters and is married to Della Unser.

Because of his disease, he uses marijuana to ease the pain and left the service because of cancer. In SOA season 6, Unser made it clear to Gemma that he was in love with her and told her that Tara made a deal with a police. Because of that Gemma who is not thinking straight killed Tara whom she thinks that she ratted on the club.

Now that Tara's death, Wayne Unser is in a difficult situation for he knows that Gemma is behind it. Will he tell Jax about it? Or will he keep Gemma's secret just to keep her friendship and protect her from Jax's wrath?
