Sony at ‘CEATEC JAPAN 2013’ to Provide New User Experience - 5 Products to Watch For
Sony has announced that it will be presenting new user experience on its mobile and living room devices at the "CEATEC JAPAN 2013." The event will be held at Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex in Chiba City. Here are the five products, fans are eager to see.
Product #1: Xperia Z 1
The Xperia Z 1 is the current flagship smartphone from Sony. New user experience of the device will be showcased at the event, according to a press release. The focus seems to be on the camera applications for the device.
The Xperia Z 1 comes with a 20.7 MP camera and Sony's G Lens. One of the prominent features on the device is the Social live, which allows the users to upload pictures simultaneously on to their Facebook page.
Product #2: Lens-style Camera
Sony recently unveiled a camera that looks more like a lens. The lens-camera can be used as a standalone or it can also be used along with a smartphone. The device can be fitted to a smartphone and it connects to the phone sans wires. The lens camera sends the photos taken instantly to the attached smartphone. The pictures can be edited from here and shared on either the social media apps like Facebook or other sharing apps.
The Lens cameras - DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10 come with optical zoom, optical steady shot, Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communication.)
Product #3: BRAVIA 4k LED TV [X8500A series]
Sony will be showcasing its new 4k TV, which gives viewers good picture quality with high resolution. The TV comes with TRILUMINOS Display with a slimmer bezel design. The X8500A series will support the latest HDMI Version 2.0.
The newly launched 65 inch and 55 inch models of the TV could be displayed at the event. The TV SideView application on the TV will show related content to the TV program; the recommendation can be seen on the users' smartphone or tablet.
Product #4: FDR-AX1 4K Handycam
Sony will be introducing the FDR-AX1 4k Handycam, this is the first 4k video camera for consumers by Sony. The camera features a newly developed 8.3 MP Exmor R CMOS image sensor and Sony's G-Lens.
Product #5: 56 inch 4K OLED (prototype)
Sony will also showcase a new 56 inch 4k OLED TV at the event. The TV will be able to achieve 4k resolution by using the latest oxide semiconductor TFTs and Sony's proprietary 'Super Top Emission' technologies.
