Rafael Nadal us perfect in his career against Canadian Milos Raonic. The Spanish World No. 1 hopes the perfection stays the same after Thursday when the pair meets in the quarterfinal round of the Sony Open Tennis 1014 at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami Florida.

The Miami Masters 2014 has seen its upsets already. Gone are third seed Stanislas Wawrinka (lost to Alexandr Dolgopolov in the Round of 16); fifth seed Roger Federer (lost to Kei Nishikori in the quarterfinals); and fourth seed David Ferrer (also lost to Nishikori in the Round of 16).

Wary of a possible surprise, Nadal will want to bring his A-game early against the upset-minded Canadian who has yet to win a set since their first meeting in 2010.

The pair’s most recent meeting is the final of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 in Canada in 2013. Despite playing in his home country, Raonic fell in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. They also met in the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell also in 2013 and Nadal took advantage of playing at home with a 6-4, 6-0 victory in the semifinal round.

On the way to the Miami QF, Nadal has beaten Lleyton Hewitt (6-1, 6-3), Denis Istomin (6-1, 6-0), Fabio Fognini (6-2, 6-2). For his part, the 12th seed Raonic advanced with victories over Jack Sock (6-4, 7-6); Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (6-1, 6-2); Benjamin Becker (6-3, 6-4).

Nadal is favoured at 1.12 in the moneyline in the betting odds with Raonic priced at 6.40. Nadal is also chalked at -4.5 in the game handicap betting line.

Will Raonic finally win his first set against perhaps the best player in the world? Or will Nadal continue his domination?
