PTCRB certified new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware builds for Sony Xperia SP, T and V which essentially brings major bug fixes to the official Android 4.3 update released recently.

Sony Xperia SP

Sony Xperia SP C5302, C5303 and C5306 owners can expect an upcoming new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update soon after PTCRB certified the build version 12.1.A.1.192, replacing the 12.1.A.0.266 which was released recently running the same Android version.

It is designed to fix several major bugs reported by owners regarding the initial Android 4.3 update roll-out by Sony Mobile. Some bugs expected to be fixed include illumination bar glowing while on a call and issues on the Album and WALKMAN apps.

Sony Xperia T and V

Similar with Xperia SP, users of Xperia T and V will also be receiving another Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update soon after certification from PTCRB. PTCRB certified new build version 9.2.A.1.199 to replace the 9.2.A.0.295 build that was recently pushed by Sony Mobile among owners.

It is also bringing major bug fixes on both Xperia T and V found on the 9.2.A.0.295 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean build version. However, there is no exact details yet on what bugs are going to be fixed.

Android 4.3 Update Issues

While PTCRB and Sony Mobile are busy dealing with the bug-fixing Android 4.3 firmware update, several users have still not received the latest Android version in their territories.

Based on the comments found on the official Facebook of Xperia SP, owners have complained about the lags and crashes on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware recently released by Sony. Moreover, some users in the United Kingdom and Austria are still unable to update their smartphones unlike their counterparts in Asia including India, Malaysia and the Philippines.

It looks like Sony Mobile will start the rollout from Australia and then westward from Asia and now slowly reaching out to Europe. Turkey is among the countries in the European region which was already seeded by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

In the case of Xperia T and V, users of Xperia V in the UK are still unable to receive any updates yet, according to comments on XperiaBlog, while others noticed a major bug on the camera app, flickering display and more but not elaborated.
