Sony Mobile has a new entry for their 2014 Xperia smartphone series and it is called Xperia T3 that offers an ultra-slim body, quad-core CPU, an Exmor RS camera and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Sony Xperia T3 Announced

Early leaks expected that Sony's upcoming smartphone is the successor of the Xperia Z Ultra. However, the mysterious smartphone was unveiled as the Xperia T3 after the company released the teaser trailer.

According to XperiaBlog, Sony Xperia T3 will have three variants - D5102, D5103 and D5106 - and features a very thin design of seven millimetres in thickness. It is has a stainless steel frame that acts as the network antennae and uses matte design for the back cover.

The Xperia T3 features similar design factor of other Xperia smartphones and holds the iconic power button, volume rockers and a dedicated camera key at the right side.

Sony Xperia T3 Key Features

As a mid-range smartphone, Xperia T3 offers decent hardware components and all of the useful apps from Sony.

1. IPS Display Technology - More viewing angles for photos and videos without colour distortion.

2. Triluminos and BRAVIA engines - Offers better colour reproduction based on Sony TV technologies.

3. Exmor RS camera - Features Sony's Exmor RS lens for mobile on both front and rear camera units with HDR capability.

4. SteadyShot - Makes video recording more stable while moving with support for 1080p video resolution.

5. Timeshift Burst - Shoot 31 frames in 2 seconds then choose which image is the perfect one.

6. Portrati Retouch - Edit and apply different styles on your portrait. You can do this in real-time.

7. Augmented Reality - Add visual animations on your photos and videos such as dinosaurs and Spider-Man himself.

8. Smart Social Camera - Add more camera mode such as Motion Shot and Motiongraphy for your camera app.
