Sony Mobile released the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware update for the Sony Xperia V which fixes the "Sleep of Death" issue found in the Android 4.0 ICS factory firmware that plagued many users since its launch.

The "Sleep of Death" issue found in the Sony Xperia V refers to the waking up problem of the smartphone under the standby mode. The common solution is to remove the battery and restart the Xperia V to make it work again. This big issue plagued many owners since the launch.

Official update release from Sony Mobile for the Sony Xperia V fixes the "Sleep of Death" issue and also adds new changes to other features and apps in the device. The firmware version has a 9.1.A.1.490, and the latest official update from the maker running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. It includes the following changelog:
