T-Mobile is the chosen exclusive network carrier of Sony Xperia Z in the United States, announced the Japanese tech company.

Sony chose T-Mobile to bring their flagship smartphone Xperia Z to customers in the United States and will be released in the coming weeks. Sony and T-Mobile announced the Xperia Z arrival by summer with water-resistant feature and 4G LTE network connectivity.

"Continuing to offer customers a wide selection of hot 4G LTE smartphones, T-Mobile US, Inc. today announced it will be exclusive U.S. wireless company to carry the Xperia Z from Sony. The Xperia Z packs the best Sony has to offer into a premium Android-powered smartphone. T-Mobile will offer the device on its Simple Choice Plan with no annual service contract plus unlimited talk, text and Web on a screaming fast, nationwide 4G network with 4G LTE rolling our across the country."

T-Mobile customers travelling this summer will love the Xperia Z with its big, beautiful HD screen, water-resistant design and advanced camera features. This is an outstanding combination: a premium 4G LTE smartphone with Sony's best features coupled with T-Mobile's unlimited data and speedy nationwide network," said the statement from Jason Young, vice president of product marketing at T-Mobile, quoted by Engadget.

4G LTE Network from T-Mobile

Sony Xperia Z owners will have access to high-speed nationwide 4G HSPA+ and 4G LTE coverage of T-Mobile wherever it is available. T-Mobile is expected to reach 100 million people by mid-2013 and 200 million nationwide by the end of 2013.

T-Mobile's 4G LTE network currently works in seven metropolitan areas which are Baltimore, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose, California and Washington, D.C.

Simple Choice Plan and Release Date

T-Mobile offers Sony Xperia Z with Simple Choice Plan which is designed on the number of lines and amount of high-speed data desired. It is inclusive of unlimited calls, unlimited text and unlimited Web browsing with a total size of 500MB under high-speed data connection for only $50 per month.

For added 2GB of high-speed data with 4G speed, customers may add $10 per month per line or get unlimited 4G data with up to 500MB of tethering for an additional $20 per month per line.

Second phone line can also be added to the service for $30 per month, and each additional line thereafter adds $10 per month. No caps, no overages and no restrictive annual service contracts are affecting the Sony Xperia Z plan on T-Mobile.

In the coming weeks, Sony Xperia Z will become available on T-Mobile retail stores, T-Mobile online store and selected national retailers & dealers throughout the United States. T-Mobile offers black finish and a limited edition purple finish of the Sony Xperia Z.
