Sony Xperia Z2 And Xperia Z2 Tablet Official Android 4.4.4 KitKat Change Logs
Sony Mobile is rolling out the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat software upgrade for Xperia Z2 smartphone and Xperia Z2 Tablet. It provides new audio engine support, battery enhancements, new features and more as per official change log from the company:
1. Audio Improvements via Hi-Resolution Audio features when connected to the 3.5 mm audio jack for playback of both PCM and DSD files with additional USB Hi-Res audio playback.
2. WALKMAN app now supports Sony DSEE HX technology to enhance audio output of MP3, AAC and Music Unlimited tunes.
3. Select specific optimisation settings for different Sony headsets connected to the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet/
4. Smart Social Camera supports Sound Photo, Augmented Reality (AR) Fun, Multi Camera and Face In camera applications.
5. Exclusive Ultra STAMINA Mode from Xperia Z3 devices now supported on Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet.
6. Quick Settings personalisation improvements such as Smart Screen Rotation for automatic screen rotation according to how the device is held.
7. Record Screen to record a video of the display. Command accessible by holding the Power key.
8. Compatibility to SmartWear accessories such as SmartBand, SmartBand Talk and SmartWatch with support for the Lifelog app via Bluetooth Unlock. Bluetooth Unlock also works with any other Sony Bluetooth accessories and headsets by setting up configuration on the Security area of the Settings menu.
