Sony Mobile offer Xperia devices in various regions such as in Asia and Europe via network carriers and supply chains. However, in the United States only T-Mobile sells Xperia smartphones and tablets among network providers.

1. Xperia Z3 smartphones is compatible with TD-LTE and LTE FDD. It features 5.1 inches of screen display with full HD resolution, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 3 GB of RAM, quad-core Snapdragon 801 CPU and a 20.7 MP rear camera.
2. Xperia Z3 Compact features similar hardware with Xperia Z3 such as Snapdragon 801, 3 GB RAM, Adreno 330 graphics and a 20.7 MP rear camera according to XperiaBlog.
3. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact spec details are unknown at this time except for the assumed 8-inch form factor and a new SmartWatch to pair it based on a teaser photo.
Improved Water Resistance Factor
Sony's tweet for IFA 2014 noted the possibility of two metres depth water resistance for upcoming devices. However, the tweet did not specifically mention Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact or Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
In consideration, whatever upgrades Sony Mobile have planned before IFA 2014 are expected to be installed on the new flagship devices and it is good news to know about an improved water resistance. So far, the highest IP certification Sony offers allow the device to be submerged under 1.5 metres of depth in freshwater for 30 minutes.
They Are Still Android Devices
Android OS is the most important factor on these devices and will initially run Android KitKat with automatic eligibility for Android L. Users will also get the usual Sony native and media apps along with several camera apps such as Creative Video, 4K video, Timeshift Video and more.
Users should watch closely at IFA 2014 for any new camera apps on Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. During Xperia Z2 demo at Mobile World Congress this year, the device offered the first 4K video recording among Sony Xperia gadgets and Timeshift video that allows slow-motion video editing.
