Alleged technical specifications of the rumoured Sony Xperia Z3X have leaked out that unveiled several important hardware components. Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 810 processor with 64-bit support was noted on the benchmark results but can it help the device record 4K videos longer than Xperia Z2 or Xperia Z3?

Sony Xperia Z3X Specifications Unveiled

Android Headlines reported the leaked technical specifications of the alleged Sony Xperia Z3X smartphone that features all-new set of hardware components. One of the most interesting components is the upcoming 64-bit processor from Qualcomm called Snapdragon 810 expected to be released on 2015.

Other key specifications revealed by a benchmarking tool include 6.2 inches of screen display that determines phablet-size, 2560 x 1440 display resolution and 4 GB of RAM chipset. Camera size remains elusive at this time but the source noted that it could have a 2/3" sensor with a wide f1.2 aperture and higher megapixel than Xperia Z2 or Xperia Z3 rear camera lenses. Can it record 4K videos longer?

4K Video Recording Issues On Sony Xperia Z2 And Xperia Z3

Both of these flagship smartphones from Sony offer 4K video recording that enables users to record very high resolution videos for viewing on wider screens and projectors. However, these devices suffer certain issues during 4K video recording - overheating and limited duration.

1. Sony Xperia Z2 has been reported with overheating issue during its official release earlier this year. Users have experience overheating on the device upon using the 4K video recording due to the high processing demands on the hardware. Sony Mobile in Singapore suggested that reduction of 4K usage and installing a high capacity microSD card will help the device. However, 4K video in short bursts of no longer than a few minutes is the recommended recording time on this device.

2. On Sony Xperia Z3, the company improved the overheating problems related to 4K video recording. But USwitch sources claim that it is still advised to limit 4K video recording to short term duration to avoid any problems. Short term recording will avoid putting the device into stress and strain.

If Sony Xperia Z3X is really equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810, it can be a probably solution to improve memory management and processing capability on using 4K video recording due to the 64-bit support. 4K video recording demands very high processing power, battery life and memory which affect certain device like Xperia Z2 and Z3 to suffer overheating crisis.
