Sophie Monk Recalls Saving A Hollywood Celebrity Who Nearly Died Of Overdose
Sophie Monk has conquered Hollywood, and it wasn’t all glitz and glamour. The Australian beauty revealed an incident when she was forced to save a celebrity from overdosing on illegal drugs after the star’s friends left her alone to die.
In an interview with “Show and Tell,” the 34-year-old former Bardot singer recalled her craziest Hollywood story, which involves a celebrity who almost died from drug overdose.
“I was walking through this party and they said, ‘meet this celebrity,’” she said. “And she was like (incomprehensible sound), and I was like, “what the hell is wrong with her?’”
Monk continued, “There was like 200 people in the country. And all of a sudden, I was like, “She’s had too much.’ And she starts convulsing like crazy. And all of her best friends, everyone left the party. I mean everyone within five minutes left that party thinking that they were going to get in trouble.
“And I didn’t know her. They stripped her off naked, ran a shower and left her in the bathroom naked and everyone left. And I said, ‘I’m not leaving.’ And I didn’t know her.
“I found a dressing gown in a closet, covered her and called the ambulance. She was like, foam was coming out of her mouth, they had to strap her down, she would have died easy,” Sophie said.
One would think that Monk’s heroism would have earned her at least gratitude from the celebrity, but the said star was actually pissed that Monk had even interfered.
“The next day, [the celebrity] goes, ‘Who was that b**** that called [the ambulance]?’ because she couldn’t remember anything.”
Monk was careful not to divulge the name of the celebrity. Viewers of the interview have their own guesses, though, and some of the popular names include Demi Moore and Lindsay Lohan.
The 2Day FM radio presenter lived in Los Angeles from 2005 until a few years back. She went on to film several Hollywood films, including “Click,” “Date Movie,” and “Spring Breakdown.”
