'Sorry George Lucas'—'Star Wars' 7 and 'The Nest' Have Same Release Date—Tina Fey Interview
Tina Fey commented on the fact that "Star Wars" 7 and "The Nest" have the same release date. "This will make him nervous," she said in an interview about George Lucas. Both movies will be released on Dec. 18, 2015.
In an interview with David Letterman, Tina Fey spoke about her upcoming movie, "The Nest." The movie is about two sisters who decide to throw a party before their parents sell the house. Filming has reportedly been completed, but the movie will not be released until Christmas of 2015.
"For some reason the movie is going to come out the same day as 'Star Wars.' Sorry, George Lucas," Tina Fey said in the interview. She also spoke about her relation with co-star, Amy Poehler, on the set.
A tabloid magazine reportedly said that Tina and Amy were not getting along on the sets of "The Nest" and that Amy was fighting to change the camera angles. Tina rubbished these allegations and said Amy found it so funny she wanted to put out a statement confirming the fight. Click here to watch the interview.
While filming for "The Nest" has reportedly been completed, production of "Star Wars" 7 is still ongoing. The filming locations of the big budget movie include Iceland; Scotland, UK; New Mexico, U.S.; Skellig Michael, Ireland; and Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
There have been multiple unconfirmed leaks for the production sets of the movie that range from the details of the plot, possible villains to the costume designs in the movie. One of the stars in the movie, Harrison Ford, met an accident while filming a scene in the movie. The actor is reportedly making a recovery and was recently seen walking around.
The plot of "Star Wars" 7 has been set 30 years after the events of episode 6. Some of the major characters from the original trilogy who will be coming back include Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Leia, Chewbacca and the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO.
Will "The Nest" be able to take on "Star Wars" 7? The recent movies from the franchise by George Lucas were all big hits at the box office. This is despite the fact that some of the fan-favourite characters from the original trilogy, like Darth Vader and Boba Fett, did not play a significant role in the recent trilogy.
