Spice Girls Planning A Reunion After 20 Years Completion, Is Posh Ready?
Do you wanna see Spice Girls get back? Here is some good news for all Spice Girls fans. Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham, members of 1990s hit girl band Spice Girls are planning a reunion for their 20th anniversary next year.
The 38-year-old Mel B is the most eager among the girls to have a reunion. But Scary Spice has yet to get in touch with the Posh Spice Victoria Bechkham who is busy in her fashion shows, three kids and retired husband, David Beckham, at home.
"I hope so. I just had a conversation with Melanie C, so hopefully things will get moving. We got together for the Olympics and we managed to pull that one off," Mel B told Daily Star about her plans, referring to the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony when the Spice Girls last performed together.
The Scary Spice, who has been the most active member of the group, is upbeat about the two decades of Spice Girls' completion. She sees the completion of 20 years as a huge milestone for the group. If they all get together it would also be almost a last chance for them to do so. However, she is not sure if she will be able to pull up everyone, especially Posh Spice, for the event.
"Posh was very hesitant about doing anything after the Olympics. As time ticks, her interest wanes," a source close to Spice Girls told the newspaper.
The British pop girl group was formed in 1994 by Virgin Records and released its debut single, "Wannabe" two years later, which was a hit on all charts. There was no turning back for the group thereafter. The debut album, "Spice," sold more than 28 million copies worldwide thus making them the most successful girl band in history. The girls disbanded in 2000 but have been making returns every now and then thus making their fans happy.
Let's hope they reunite one last time and delight their fans with a "Spicy" performance.
