Splendour in the Grass has lost London Grammar. The annual Australian music festival announced The Presets as the replacement for British electronic pop trio.

On Monday, London Grammar cancelled their festival appearance due to unspecified illness.

“It’s with great sadness that we must announce the cancellation of our trip to Australia & Splendour in the Grass this week due to illness. This is an incredibly sad situation for us as our last visit was one of the most memorable of our careers, but we do not feel that we can currently deliver the level of performance that you all deserve from us,” the band wrote on Facebook.

“Our fans in Australia have been hugely supportive of our music since the very beginning, and it pains us to have to disappoint any of you. We are going to do everything we can to make sure we are back down under as soon as possible and will reschedule our Sydney & Melbourne shows and give you more details very shortly.”

The group also cancelled their appearance at Scotland’s T in the Park festival on July 14, citing Hannah Reid’s throat problems.

They will be back in Australia in March, though, after the trio – also including Dan Rothman and Dot Major – rescheduled their shows.

They will be playing at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on March 12, and at the Festival Hall in Melbourne on March 14.

Splendour in the Grass organisers, meanwhile, announced Sydney electronic duo The Presets as the trio’s replacement on Friday, July 25.

Headliner Two Door Cinema Club has earlier cancelled due to illness as well. Lead vocalist Alex Trimble was hospitalised due to chronic stomach complaint in the UK, preventing the Northern Irish rock band from making it to Australia.

Indie rockers Foals will step up to take the stage.

Splendour in the Grass will be held at the North Byron Parklands from Friday (July 25) to Sunday (July 27).
