ZK International Group Co Ltd ( ZKIN) and its subsidiary xSigma Collectibles are all set to launch their beta MaximNFT Marketplace on Nov. 29. The marketplace is to be launched by xSigma in exclusive partnership with Maxim magazine, the firm announced Monday.

Several sports players, including Matt Carpenter, Jerami Grant and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, will launch their exclusive NFT collections on the platform.

"We've completed our closed beta testing, and have received a lot of positive feedback and as a result, we will be doing a soft launch on Nov. 29 to test the technology and host several NFT drops in the nearest time, “ Jon Orlando, CEO of MaximNFT, said.

“In addition, during the next couple of months, we plan to announce additional big names to the NFT space using the MaximNFT brand," he added.

Non-Fungible Tokens or NFTs are blockchain-based tokens that prove ownership of digital items like video files, images and also physical assets at times. NFTs have been the talk of the town with various industries showing great interest in the sector.

The athletes partnered with MaximNFT's marketplace will certify their own unique sets of 3D digital collectibles that will be exclusive to the platform.

The firm considers these collectibles to be a good fit for the numerous other athlete and celebrity NFTs that it has agreed to promote.

"Aside from celebrities and athletes, we are collaborating with generative projects and game developers to dive into the play-to-earn ecosystem, which is definitely the future of NFTs," Orlando said.

MaximNFT was created after xSigma partnered with Maxim.com to rebrand xSigma's Marketplace to MaximNFT.

NFT marketplaces have been picking up a lot of interest with firms reporting record sales. Gemini, one of the top cryptocurrencies, has had a record sales of more than $420 million done by its NFT marketplace, NIFTY. The platform has already collaborated with 375 unique artists and continues to grow.

Celebrities have also been taking a keen interest in tapping the benefits of NFT. In October, Abel Tesfaye, a grammy-winning singer better known by his stage name "The Weeknd," joined National Football League quarterback Tom Brady's NFT startup Autograph. DJ Oakenfold, another grammy-winning EDM artist, had also announced that his new album would release in the form of an NFT on the Cardano network.
