Australian Amanda Spratt has taken out overall honours in the Tour de Feminin in the Czech Republic after leading the tour fom start to finish.

The 24 year old won the first stage and then rode strongly through the next four stages to complete the 412km event with a 20 second winning margin over Russians Natalya Boyarskaya (Team P.C.W.) and Larisa Pankova (Russian National Team).

The Jayco AIS development team rider raced with the Australian National Team in the tour and also won the points classification while the Australian team placed second behind Team P.C.W.in the battle for the teams tophy.

Apart from her opening stage win the Blue Mountains born Spratt also stood on the podium when she was second in the stage three time trial and third across the line on stage four.

Earlier in the event West Australian Melissa Hoskins (Team Jayco-AIS) led home a Australian clean sweep of the podium on the second stage ahead of Jayco AIS team mate Annette Edmondson (SA) with Tasmanian Belinda Goss (Australian national team) in third place.

Across in Italy Ruth Corset has ended the ten stage Giro Donne in sixth overall.

The 34 year old Queenslander finished with a total tour time 12:58 off the pace of Dutch winner Marianne Vos who claimed the tour trophy by 3:16 on Emma Pooley (GBR) while Germany's Judith Arndt was third overall at 8:15.

Corset's compatriot and stage two winner, Shara Gillow, ended the tour ninth overall at 15:48.

Both Corset and Gillow race with the Jayco-AIS women's development program but raced the Giro with the Spanish registered Bizkaia-Durango team.
