Star Studded Entrant List of Guinness Book Of World Records Revealed
The Guinness Book Of Records 2015 has revealed some new personalities who broke and created new records this year. The list found in the 60th edition of the book appears to be filled with names straight out of Hollywood.
Jennifer Lawrence is acknowledged as the highest grossing action movie heroine of the year with her role for the popular franchise 'Hunger Games', which earned more than $1.52 billion worldwide.
The band 'One Direction' is recorded as the first band to have their first three albums consecutively debut at the top spot in the weekly U.S. Billboard charts.
On the other hand, another music group 'Metallica' is the first rock band to perform on all seven continents. Their show in Antartica has been reported to have been organized specially for scientists and contest winners on December 8, 2013.
Rapper Eminem is also included in the list. He is said to have been recognized for composing a single with 1,560 words playable within six minutes. Eminem's rapping skill has been applauded by the Guinness Book of World Records for the first time.
While some names have to work themselves to find a place in this prestigious book, others are just propelled by internet activity, social media presence and fan's love. Miley Cyrus is recorded as the most searched female pop star on the internet while Shakira is officially the first person to reach 100 million likes on Facebook, which she reached in July this year.
The musician with the most number of followers on Twitter is Katy Perry, who has approximately 52,463,838 followers at the time these records were compiled. By September 4 this year, the singer reached 56.5 million. followers
The photo uploaded by Vin Diesel featuring himself and the late Paul Walker garnered 6.8 million likes and was also recorded in the book. This record is said to have been achieved due to the massive fan base of Diesel, which was bolstered by the public's sympathy and grief over the sudden death of Paul Walker.
As reported by Stuart Claxton to ET, Robert Downey, Jr. of Iron Man 3 received the fastest 1 million followers on Facebook, which was achieved within 24 hours of his joining the social media.
It has been a record-breaking year for TV and the movie world as well. Popular HBO show 'Game of Throne' is now officially the most copiously pirated show in television. Each episode of the show has been recorded to be downloaded at an average of 5.9 million times. The last show of the recently concluded season alone was downloaded 1 million times.
The much loved movie 'Frozen' has also found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest box-office earning for an animated movie.
