Threepio actor Anthony Daniels recently sat down for an interview about "Star Wars: Episode VII" and he said his character will be more confident than he was in the previous films. Daniels even called 3PO a "snob."

Entertainment Weekly caught up with the actor who, according to Makingstarwars, has played the iconic droid in the previous six "Star Wars" films.

When asked about production details for "Star Wars: Episode VII," Anthony Daniels naturally declined to reveal spoilers. However, he did say that his character, 3PO, would appear in a newly designed suit in the new sci-fi film. Changes were made to his costume that he claimed would now be easier to "get on and off quickly."

"They made an entirely new look-a-like with changes that you will never notice [on screen] that made my life a lot easier," he said.

Makingstarwars speculates the new costume may have been patterned from "Star Tours II," where it supposedly featured a lifelike 3PO even though the character was in CGI form.

Furthermore, when pressed for his character's growth in J.J. Abrams-directed movie, Daniels thinks "3PO might have grown in confidence over the years." Over the 40 years of bringing life to the droid character, Anthony credits Threepio's growth to the many dramas he's survived.

"He's gained so much knowledge about what's going on in the galaxy. Generally the way he appears to grow is by being faced by new situations and new conflicts." the actor told EW's James Hibberd.

Likening him to a laundry machine, the 68-year-old "Star Wars" veteran told EW that 3PO is up for any challenge thrown his way. It's reportedly what "brings out fresh attitudes."

Additionally, Daniels claimed 3PO in "Star Wars: Episode VII" may have turned into "a bit of a snob." But in a good way since his being snobbish reportedly brings out his "reactive way."

The actor also recalled the time movie director J.J. Abrams phoned him about the role. He was initially asked to lend his voice alone to the character. However, Anthony Daniels didn't want any of that.

The much-anticipated "Star Wars: Episode VII" would likely bring out a tense 3PO as described by the actor. Daniels credits his exhaustion post-filming to his character since he is reportedly always tense. A character whose always "slightly on the edge of panic." However, what's interesting to note is the actor's confirmation that the new movie will give a new angle, a new take to its backstory.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" opens in U.S. theatres on Dec. 18, 2015.
