The artist Tom Hodges posted a picture showing the new look of the Stormtroopers in the upcoming movie "Star Wars" 7. The quickly drawn sketch was posted on his Instagram account. The image has since been taken down or deleted. Readers should note that the new look has not been confirmed and treat the leak as a rumour.

The sketch of the Stormtrooper seemed to be very similar to the one fans of the franchise saw in the original trilogy. Readers may note that the helmet design of the army was very different in the movie "Star Wars: The Attack of the Clones."

The plot of "Star Wars" 7 has been set 30 years after the events of the original trilogy. The producers have not confirmed whether some of the design elements of the upcoming movie will be borrowed from the original trilogy. The director has given the fans a glimpse from the sets from time to time in the form of video messages from the sets and images with handwritten notes.

A recent image of a handwritten note from the director of the movie J.J. Abrams was shared by Bad Robots on Twitter. The note thanked everyone who contributed towards the Force for Change initiative that has raised money for social causes.

The note was held by a robotic right arm. Fans of the franchise will remember that the character Luke Skywalker has a robotic right arm in the movies. Many people are guessing that the image may, in fact, be that of Luke. Click here to see the picture.

Although the director has posted images and videos from the sets as teasers for "Star Wars" 7, nothing has been confirmed yet and the plot of the movie still remains a secret. The production for the movie is ongoing. One fan will get to be a cast member of the movie and get all the details of the movie.

D.C. Barns is the winner of the Force for Change initiative and has won a chance to be a cast member of "Star Wars" 7. He is a fan of the franchise and has been since 1977, the year the first ever movie from the franchise was released.

"Star Wars" 7 is slated to be released on Dec. 18, 2015 in Australia, U.S., U.K., Canada and New Zealand. Some of the returning characters from the original trilogy include Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2.
