‘Star Wars’ 7 – The Plot Always Starts with Tatooine
"Star Wars" 7 is reportedly being filmed in Abu Dhabi instead of Tunisia. The location is an ideal setting for the desert planet Tatooine, where the plot of "Star Wars" movies has begun previously. Here is a look at why the planet is so important and what fans can find there.
The original "Star Wars" movie - A New Hope begins in Tatooine, where fans meet the star of the show Luke Skywalker. The planet is full of pirates, smugglers, bounty hunters and other criminal elements of the galaxy.
Tatooine was also significant in the second trilogy that began with "Star Wars" Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. The prequel movies focused on the life of Darth Vader and showed how Anakin Skywalker, a talented Pod racer in Tatooine, turned to the dark side of the force to become a dreaded Sith Lord.
Tatooine is mostly controlled by the Hutts, one of the biggest criminal organisations in the galaxy. In "Star Wars" Episode 6 the kingpin of the Hutts, Jabba, is killed by Princess Leia Organa, played by Carrie Fisher.
With Tatooine featuring again in "Star Wars" 7, fans are excited with the possibility to see some Pod racing in the movie. Fans are also excited to see what has happened to the Hutts after Jabba's death and who is now running the organisation.
The plot of "Star Wars" 7 has not been revealed yet. The cast in the movie includes Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Peter Mayhew, John Boyega, Max Von Sydow, Kenny Baker, Daisy Ridley and Anthony Daniels.
Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher will be playing the role of the married couple Han and Leia Solo. Mark Hamill will be playing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. It is being speculated that the son of Han and Leia will turn to the dark side in "Star Wars" 7 and Luke Skywalker is expected to rebuild the Jedi order.
The popular droids R2-D2 and C-3PO will also feature in the movie. "Star Wars" 7 will be releasing on 18 December 2015 in Australia, U.S, UK, Canada, France, Japan, Netherlands, Sweden, Turkey and New Zealand.
